A testimonial from Margaret & Adrian

Filed under: testimonials, weddings — oliver @ 1:58 pm

It’s always a real boost when we receive positive feedback, so you can imagine how delighted we were to receive this email from Margaret & Adrian first thing this morning. If you haven’t already guessed we photographed Margaret & Adrian’s wedding at Penrhos Court on the 5th of April. You can see a collection of their wedding photos here

” Hello Oli,

Sorry we didn’t get to see you and the boys on Sunday and hope we didn’t keep Ruth too long! Big thank you to Ruth though - she was wonderful - patient, honest, helpful and impartial and kept us well supplied with icy cold water which was bliss!

We are so thrilled with the pictures - the more we look at them the more excited we get about how great they are. Have sent you a letter finally - been meaning to since we got back from honeymoon - which I hope goes some way to thank you both. The first time you see the pics you can’t help but home in on how you look and feel self-critical and when you see them through again you just enjoy them for the creativity, incredible quality and amazing ability to capture moments and memories. It’s also hard to gush over them in a studio with another person there so please be sure we have totally gushed over them in the privacy of our own home!!!

We are so excited about the album and can’t wait to see it

Our very grateful and heartfelt thanks to you both

Margaret, Adrian and Josh

xx “

Imagine our further delight to receive this letter in today’s post:

” Dear Ruth & Oli,

How can we ever put into words how much we appreciate the wonderful job you
have done, not just in photographing our wedding day but with all your
friendly support, help, advice and guidance throughout the whole process.

It has been a total pleasure working with you both, from the first time we
came to talk to you about what you could do for us through the meeting to
discuss how our day would be covered, the day itself and the very tough
process of choosing our albums photos from the incredible selection of
brilliantly shot, creative pics you had managed to take for us.

We are absolutely delighted with our photographs and haven’t stopped looking
at them since you put them up on-line yesterday! We fall more and more in
love with them and have already had some extremely complimentary comments
from some of the 40 odd family and friends who we emailed the link to only
last night.

You are both so easy to get on with and several of our guests commented on
how incredibly unobtrusive you were on the day - we think they’ll be
surprised by how many pictures you took as they barely noticed you around.

Your photos are everything we hoped they would be and we love all the little
details you have captured in such an imaginative and creative way. We also
have great pictures of all the people who shared our wonderful day with us
without lots of formal, staged photos of group after group. You have an
amazing talent for capturing people at their relaxed best.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us such precious memory
joggers of a day we never want to forget. We wouldn’t hesitate to reccommend
you to anybody and wish you all the success you deserve - both in the
photography business and in your family life.

Ruth - you were such an amazing help to us when we made our final selection,
gently steering and guiding us and always ensuring it was our choice and, by
the way, if there is a small gap for an extra detail shot that you’d like to
fill then please feel free to use your beautiful shot of the candle flame
with the single blossom in the foreground lit by the flame - the only one we
regret leaving out of the final cut. It is such a beautiful shot!! Truth be
known - they were all superb.

Thank you too for the generous way you worked with us to get the selection
we loved the most for the album as well as being able to have the small books
which we know we will carry around and wear out!

We will never regret choosing you two to capture our memories.

With our sincere and heartfelt thanks,

 Margaret & Adrian xxxx

Kerri & Giles - Broadfield Court - December 1st 2007

Filed under: weddings — oliver @ 3:42 am

Congratulations to Kerri & Giles, who celebrated their marriage at Broadfield Court on Saturday the 1st of December, we wish them all the best as they honeymoon somewhere sunny and warm and look forward to seeing them in the new year. You can see the highlights from their wedding photos here.

Kerri & Giles

Kerri & Giles are the first couple to hold their wedding ceremony at Broadfield Court, as the Court received its marriage licence the day before the wedding. A sunny winter’s day, the rain held off for all the outside photos, and a gorgeous, warm and cozy marquee reception followed the ceremony. Kerri’s dress was by Ellis Bridals and her flowers were by Bluebells of Leominster. When I find out who made their stunning chocolate wedding cake I’ll post it here too.

This was also Ruth’s last wedding of the year as she takes time off to get ready for our new arrival.

Kerry & Giles

Filed under: pre wedding photo sessions — oliver @ 4:17 am

Sunday the 18th of November: horrible dark, cold, wet, miserable weather and a chance to meet up with Kerry and Giles at Broadfield Court to discuss their upcoming wedding plans. After a quick coffee and a warm up in the cafe we headed outside for a spot of photography, and while Kerry and Giles cuddled up under shelter, I stood right out in the rain to get the shot above. We find that a pre wedding photo session like this is really important for our brides and grooms, getting over that initial “oh, I’m having my picture taken” anxiety and allowing everyone to relax in front of our cameras on the big day itself. Photo session over we popped back to the cafe to go over the finer details of their wedding plans. Expect to see the results of all this planning after the 1st of December.
